I have so much to be grateful for. And there is nothing like the Thanksgiving holidays to help you be still and focus on all the good in life. Sometimes I get caught up in it all and forget to count all of my blessings. So here are just a few pictures from life lately and things I am thankful for.
I got to spend time with my beautiful Aunt Christy in Atlanta on yet another Goodwill run. I was super blessed to find the deals I got! I went to get a thick winter coat for our Christmas trip this year. Not only did I end up with an arm full of coats, I also found brand new (with tag) Ann Taylor Loft dress pants and a Lully Pulitzer skirt with the tags still on it-> a $148 original down to $6. What!?! Oh yeah!
After shopping, I went to see the Macon Mayhem beat the Fayetteville Fire Ants. Finally got to see a victory and some fights. Hockey is seriously my favorite. Then out for drinks with the guys. Here we have Damon and Patrick in a serious discussion about Skeeball. Riveting. Really. 😉
Sunday Night some of my church folk gathered around a bonfire for hotdogs, smores, worship, and fellowship. It really can’t get much better than that.
And then Monday night was Friendsgiving: Pajama style. This was my second year attending and though I don’t see these girls often it is a ton of fun and I love catching up with everyone. I got to snap a pic with Tiffany, my best friend from high school. And then there was the onesie crew. We had to get a picture of that. 🙂
Grateful to know all of these beautiful ladies and cannot wait until next time!
Then came family Thanksgivings. The family dynamics change over the years but the good food and love stay consistent through it all. And the crazy. Crazy is consistent. haha.
And just a few more things to be thankful for:
- I got to share Jefferson Bethke’s books with a fellow blogger, Danielle, after she read my post on his latest book.
- I saw a HUGE shooting star this week.
- I not only got the new Adele album 25, but I just found her 21 in an old CD case!
- My eye is finally getting better.
- I’m blessed to bless others through Operation Christmas Child. It was so much fun picking out gifts for the little boy and little girl.
- And true to self> I have to add that I’m grateful for my cat, Shyssa. 🙂
I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving and are enjoying finally being able to dive head-first into the Christmas spirit!
What has been your favorite part of this Thanksgiving holiday? Any good stories to share?
Intentionally yours,
And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him. Colossians 3:17
